Berlee Peace & Development.Org (BPDO), also known as Berlee Development Foundation (BDF), is a Sudanese youth-led peacebuilding and humanitarian organisation founded in 2017. It is registered in Sudan (2020) and in Uganda (following the outbreak of the Sudan war), with a main office in Kampala and two field offices in Nyala (South Darfur) and Tawila (North Darfur).
BPDO/BDF works with youth, women, children, and war-affected communities to rebuild the social and institutional fabric damaged by conflict, through capacity building in peaceful coexistence, gender equality, peace values, democracy, reconciliation, nonviolence, and human rights.
In partnership with international donors including GIZ, Saferworld/SDC, NPA, and PAX, the organisation runs active projects across humanitarian response and peacebuilding, upholding standards of transparency, accountability, and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), and currently operates under the supervision of the Sudanese Agency for Relief and Humanitarian Operations.
