Congo-Brazzaville
Global Participe is a national, non-profit, non-political and non-denominational humanitarian non-governmental organisation. It is based in the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville). The organisation works for Democratic Governance and Local Development, with a particular focus on human rights, peace and support for local initiatives to fight poverty.
Its main office is in Pointe-Noire, Congo's economic capital. The organisation has a five-member Executive Board and a nine-member Board of Directors, with sub-offices in the Departments.
Its current activities focus on: 1) peace education and the fight against violence in schools; 2) peace-building in post-conflict zones; 3) strengthening the operationalisation of the Réseau Congolais des Juristes Spécialistes des Médias; 4) participating in the working group to support the Congolese government in the process of drawing up the roadmap for its membership to the OGP (Open Government Partnership).
