Launch of the 2025 Voices of SDG16+ : Stories for Global Action
The Civil Society Platform for Peacebuilding and Statebuilding (CSPPS), in partnership with Accountability Lab, Alliance for Peacebuilding, Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies, Peace Direct and TAP Network, are pleased to share that the 2025 Campaign of the Voices of SDG16+: Stories for Global Action is now opened!
This seventh edition, centred on the theme "Resilience, Adaptation & Innovation: Local Voices reclaiming SDG16+", aims to highlight the innovative actions undertaken by local actors to build resilience in the face of systemic crises at local and national levels.
The most enthralling videos will be showcased in New-York [USA] during an interactive virtual side-event of the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF). This year, SDGs 3, 5, 8, 14 and 17 will be reviewed during the HLPF, focusing on “Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for leaving no one behind.” Entries are thereby encouraged to have stories highlighting the interlinkages between SDG16 and SDGs 3 (Good health and well-being), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 14 (Life Below Water) and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
Successful stories can be told in English, French, Arabic or Spanish, and should ideally feature both challenges and successes in pursuing the advancement of SDG16+ in the context of the #2030Agenda.
The 2025 Voices of SDG16+ : Stories for Global Action is a collaborative campaign for organisations that wish to showcase examples of innovative SDG16+ implementation work.
