The Voices of SDG16+: Stories for Global Action Campaign is a global advocacy initiative that brings civil society perspectives on SDG16+ to the forefront of international policy discussions, particularly at the High-level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development. Since 2019, the campaign has invited civil society actors worldwide to share short videos showcasing local efforts, best practices, and lessons learned in advancing peace, justice, and inclusive institutions. 

The SDG16+ Storytelling Initiative is a collaborative platform designed to strengthen civil society’s capacity to use storytelling as a tool for advocacy, communication, and fundraising. Launched in 2025 in partnership with key global networks, the initiative supports organisations in translating their work on peace, justice, and governance into compelling narratives that resonate with policymakers and the broader public. 

The Peace Corner Podcast, co-organised with UNOY Peacebuilders since 2019, is a youth-driven platform that explores key themes in peacebuilding and conflict prevention through accessible and engaging discussions. Each season focuses on a specific topic, such as the impact of digitalisation on peacebuilding (2024) or the role of youth in peace and security (2025).  

The Briefing Papers Series translates civil society expertise into concise, policy-oriented analyses on key thematic nexuses related to peacebuilding and conflict prevention. Developed collaboratively with CSPPS members, the series explores interlinkages between peace and related issues, such as gender equality, climate change, migration, health, food security, and digitalisation. 

The Just Future Alliance (2021–2025) was a global partnership programme that brought together international and local civil society organisations to advance inclusive peace, access to justice, and people-centred security in fragile and conflict-affected contexts. Implemented across multiple countries, the Alliance supported civil society actors in strengthening their advocacy capacities, engaging in policy processes, and holding institutions accountable. A central focus was amplifying the voices of local actors – particularly those from marginalised communities – and ensuring their meaningful participation in decision-making at national and global levels.  

CSPPS actively contributes to global SDG16 discussions through the SDG16 Conference, where civil society voices are brought into dialogue with governments and international partners. Through this process, we supported the development of the SDG16+ Civil Society Declaration, a collective advocacy document that reflects civil society priorities and calls for stronger commitments to peace, justice, and inclusive governance.  

In 2025-2026, CSPPS, in partnership with Interpeace, successfully launched a GIZ-sponsored project, “Ensuring inclusive and meaningful youth engagement - Youth, Peace and Security Consultations for Big Impact”, designed to amplify youth voices and facilitate youth agency and leadership through structured consultations led by youth organisations. Seeking to offer an alternative perspective on the potential of young people as key drivers of national and global peacebuilding agendas and as rights holders shaping policy and governance frameworks, the project supported seven youth-led consultation processes in Colombia, Guatemala, Kenya, Mali, the Philippines, Sierra Leone, and Syria. 

The Member Stories Initiative began in 2024 as a means to reinforce our link, reconnect with our members, and highlight their role in peacebuilding efforts by sharing their personal stories and work. Stories help us understand the multifaceted dimensions of peace and the unquantifiable ways of making change.
