The Peace Corner Podcast

At a time when global discussions consistently point to a "Peacebuilding in Crisis," the 10th season of the Peace Corner Podcast explores how the changing landscape of depleting funding, shrinking civic spaces, geopolitical tensions, and increased securitisation puts pressure on peacebuilders to resist and adapt. In this season, we sit down with guests to unpack the ways peacebuilders are navigating global uncertainty: be it queering and decolonising peace work, incorporating technology and creative methods, or opening up conversations about peacebuilders’ wellbeing. 

In the ninth season of the podcast, we are exploring peacebuilding in the context of the 10th anniversary of the UN’s Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda, reflecting on its impact since the adoption of Resolution 2250 in 2015. A decade ago, the YPS agenda sparked hope, recognising young people’s vital role in peacebuilding. In this season of the Peace Corner Podcast, we will unpack the challenges of the agenda while celebrating successes, and exploring the YPS through gender, climate change, protection, art, the role of young refugees in peacebuilding and more ! 

As we navigate the 21st century, we recognise technology's transformative and integral role in sustaining our lives, jobs, health, and education. As of October 2023, there were 5.3 billion internet users globally, amounting to over 65% of the world's population. With this new season, we aim to demystify these new technologies and help listeners harness their positive aspects, while safeguarding against potential pitfalls.
